Woolwich Town Hall Wedding
maria + vlad
A beautiful red staircase, rich teal walls and a black and white tiled floor...
At first blush, it seems unlikely that these elements should exist together in the same room yet, when combined, it creates something wholly unique and eye-catching in it’s contrast.
I was so excited when Maria and Vlad first told me that they were having their wedding ceremony at Woolwich Town Hall. I’d never been there before but having seen images of the place, I was itching for a chance to photograph it myself. The grand staircase, the contrasting colours all bought together beautifully by the white detailing around the hall were a treat for the eyes (and lens!).
Maria and Vlad were the perfect couple, sweet, sincere and so easy to work with. They opted to have a simple afternoon ceremony with only their closest friends and family gathered as witnesses. Whilst we waited for their guests to all arrive, we started off with some couple shots inside the hall, which made an imposing backdrop for some of the images. Then, once everyone had arrived, we moved into one of the adjacent rooms, simple in its design but perfectly equipped for it’s purpose, and the ceremony went on without a hitch. Finally, we ended with group photos with the newly wedded couple, and of course, we had to make good use of the staircase again!
Such an enjoyable day with the gorgeous couple, and it makes me so happy when the photos come out as beautifully as these ones did, I couldn’t have asked for more! I hope you enjoy the small selection of my favourite photos from their day below, if you would like to get in touch about your own wedding, you can contact me here!
